DON’T TAKE BEING ‘MUM’ TOO SERIOUSLY.

Now don’t get me wrong- being a mum is one of the most important jobs in the world!

What I’m referring to here is not to put so much pressure on yourself at always getting it right- that you forget to enjoy the ride!

No one is born an expert Mum- we all learn ‘on the job’. So it’s natural to assume that there will be many trial and errors along the way. The only thing that counts is that you love your kids with every fiber of your being and are doing your best for them.

Besides, being a perfect mum sounds a little boring- where’s the fun if you don’t stuff up and so have no opportunities to laugh at yourself?!

Take Care,

Nicole

GO FOR A WALK

Being a Mum can be exhausting, sometimes you feel like you don’t have a moment to even think- and you’re probably right! J

The importance of getting a break, time to reflect and recharge your mental battery is essential to any happy Mum.

A walk is a great way to achieve this; the sunshine, fresh air and exercise will all assist in the elevation of your happiness levels!

READ A BOOK.

You remember those things don’t you? They’re lots of pages of paper bound together that tell you a story.

Whether you were a prolific reader before kids or not, reading is a great way to have some snippets of much needed ‘me time’ added to your day.

Why not make a list of books you’ve been meaning to read and get started sometime this week? Even if it’s just 20 minutes before you hit the pillow, it will give your mind the opportunity to disconnect from your busy day and so help you to sleep better.

Massage

GET A MASSAGE.

This suggestion made the top 3 tips, and with good reason- every Mum needs some proper pampering every now and then- especially if you’re aiming to be a happy one!

A massage is a great way to melt away your tension, give you a chance to ‘mentally regroup’ and have some much needed quiet time.

So what are you waiting for? Take a quick look at your calendar to find a suitable day and then book in that massage!

Have a Happy Day,

If You Could Have 1 Wish…

Standard

Hello,

I was thinking today how many things I want to accomplish at the moment and how little time I have to get them done!

That’s probably my biggest frustration as a mum- being time poor- if I had 1 wish, it would be to only need a couple of hours sleep a night so that I could catch up on all this ‘stuff’ I want to do instead of wasting time in sleep-mode.

So what is your biggest frustration in life at the moment? If you had 1 wish to make life easier- what would it be?

I’d love to hear from you,

Nicole
